Welcome Home
Welcome Home is a group of Cass County volunteers who are dismayed by the plight of refugees worldwide, and are excited to help. Coordinated by Ruth Andrews and Sandi Hostetler, the group has been meeting since February of 2023 and is now a 501c3 nonprofit. On May 30, 2024, we welcomed Mohammed Hasen to Cassopolis.
Mohammed was born in Darfur, Sudan, and had to flee because of war. He arrived in the Assosa refugee camp in Ethiopia in 2011. His wife and two-year-old daughter remain in the camp, and hope to join him as soon as possible. Welcome Home partners with Welcome Corps and Zaman International. We are grateful for local friends and supporters.
